“Dances of Others” invites dance and body artists from various performative disciplines to come together for collective work in a playful and open approach. It seeks to create and reflect on dance, the body, movement, and the performing arts through the perspective of cultural studies. The course offers entry into unfamiliar territories as a journey of question marks—aimed at refining skills in creation, composition, and improvisation. Through encountering and experiencing dances we do not know—dances of others—we practice unfamiliar modes of performance, body, and choreography, while examining artistic, social, and cultural questions.
“Dances of Others” is part of the Advanced Training Program of Tel Aviv Culture Da Vinci center.
